Up For Auction: 1963 Shelby 289 Cobra That Was Signed By Carroll Shelby

1963 Shelby

To say that this 1963 Shelby 289 Cobra “CSX 20175” is incredible would be an understatement. The car, which was designed by Carroll Shelby is a piece of art. And like every great artist, Carroll Shelby even took the time to sign his work. He literally autographed this specific car. So at the RM Sotheby’s auction on August 2017 in Monterey, California, not only will you be buying the car, you will also be buying Shelby’s John Hancock.

Under the hood of this classic beauty is a Ford short-stroke V8, with an impressive 289 cid engine with 271 horsepower and 312 foot-pounds of torque. All this adds up to give it the ability to hit 139 mph and go 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. Not bad for a car that’s over 50 years old. Learn more at RM Sotheby’s.
