When you look at the 2017 Jaguar XKSS what do you see? I see the car I want to ride off into the sunset in. Top down, wind-blowing through my thick, luscious hair, a classy dame by my side, and a briefcase full of unmarked bills in the back seat. Man. That’s the life I would have if I was driving the 2017 Jaguar XKSS.
So why is Jaguar releasing nine new units of the Jaguar XKSS sixty years after it was conceived? Because in 1957, nine XKSS cars were lost in a fire at Jaguar’s Browns Lane factory; meaning just 16 examples of XKSS were built. You could say that Jaguar is finally righting a 60-year-old wrong. But don’t get all sentimental yet, because at a $1,250,000 price tag per car, Jaguar is bound to make a much larger profit on those nine cars today than they would have in 1957.
