The Maserati Alfieri electric concept car was originally unveiled in 2014 Geneva Auto Show to honor one of the founding Maserati brothers. Now that concept is coming to life, but not as soon as it was originally supposed to.
According to Motor Authority:
The Alfieri-based sports car was originally due in 2018 but a lack of a suitable platform meant the project was delayed. Instead, Maserati will initially launch a redesigned GranTurismo and GranTurismo Convertible based its rear-wheel-drive platform underpinning the Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans, with the Alfieri-based sports car to follow.
I don’t know much, but I do know that from now until 2019 I need to become filthy rich so I can buy this sweet ride. And I say 2019 because the gas version will supposedly be released that year, while the electric model will come out the following year. Sorry environment, I can’t wait that long.
There is currently no price for the Maserati Alfieri.
