Audi Q8 Brings Sci-Fi Of The Past To Life

We all remember the awesome tech that Captain Jean-Luc Picard and crew had at their disposal in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Fans of TNG will feel like they’re aboard the USS Enterprise when sitting down in the Audi Q8. Hopping on the bandwagon of coupe-like SUVs has turned out to be a good move for Audi. Their newest entry, the Q8, has just about everything you could wish for.

The Audi Q8 has plenty of style, but it doesn’t sacrifice its utility for it like some similar competitors. Although it took Audi 10 years to join the coupe-SUV market, they have arrived in style. Just like you will when you pull up in the Q8. The performance of this car is great, but pales in comparison to how awesome it is on the inside. So, like you were always taught, it’s what’s on the inside that counts.

First are the stacked LCD touchscreen panels that include haptic feedback. That means they produce physical feedback when you press virtual buttons and dials so you know what you’re doing. The bottom panel holds all of the climate controls right at the driver’s fingertips while the top features maps, audio, and informational features.

Shortcut icons can add most-used GPS destinations, phone numbers, or music. You can use natural language voice control to get updates on weather or tell the car you’re hungry so it can offer food suggestions. Finally, the Virtual Cockpit comes standard in the Q8 and can configure it to include whatever information you want to see at a glance. Heated and cooled massaging front seats make you feel like a king and are low enough to leave plenty of headroom, even for tall drivers. For a sporty, sci-fi, closest thing to a spaceship car, the Q8 is the answer. Learn More
