Hollywood acting and directing giant Ben Affleck has recently purchased a $19.25M mansion in the Pacific Palisades that puts the Bat Cave to shame. The seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion is in one of the most luxurious neighborhoods around.
Interestingly, the home, built recently in 2017, is just a half-mile down the road from his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Coincidence? You decide.
Ben’s new home is East Coast Traditional style, which isn’t too surprising considering he was raised on the East Coast in Boston, MA. It sprawls out at 13,453 square-feet in the Riviera portion of the Palisades.
Inside, a white foyer showcases a beautiful winding staircase that leads to a balcony hallway upstairs. (Are we sure that it doesn’t spin into the ground and lead to the Bat Cave? Seriously, did someone check?) A formal dining room sits next to a gourmet chef’s kitchen, which includes a breakfast area and work desk.
Large sliding doors lead outside from the living room and its cozy fireplace to a stunning outdoor entertaining area which takes advantage of Southern California’s wonderful weather. The outside also features a large backyard of rolling green grass, a swimming pool, spa, outdoor barbecue, and a guest house (Superman needs a place to stay).
Back inside, a wood-paneled study with many bookcases and an included bar for when you need a break from reading. Upstairs, the master bedroom caps the house off and may be the best feature. It includes its own sitting area, two marble bathrooms, and two walk-in closets.
Finally, the basement includes a screening room (for viewing his latest movie releases), a gym, a wine cellar, and another full bar. I guess being rich is a pretty great superpower if it gets you a home as sweet as this one. Congratulations to Mr. Affleck. Learn More
