Edward Norton’s New Malibu Beach House Is Architecture At Its Finest

Actor Edward Norton just paid a whopping $11.8 million on this insane house from architect John Lautner. The Malibu, CA beach home was built in 1968 and it is Lautner’s ‘Stevens’ House.’ As you can clearly see, it is an impressive display of architecture.

Unlike a lot of the real estate we feature on this site, the star of this 3,366 square foot structure is the house itself. And the fact that it is situated on 37 feet of beautiful sandy beach. There are no gimmicks. No theater rooms. No man caves with all the things a guy could ever want (I’m looking at you full-sized golf simulator). It is just an architectural masterpiece inside and out.

What the house does offer is an exercise in quality over quantity — and we’re not just referring to the insane ocean view.Outside you’ll find a large beach deck and swimming pool. While inside the recently restored house house has five-bedrooms, five bathrooms, and incredible views from every window. Wait till you see the view from the master bedroom, it’s one of the sickest bedrooms views we have ever laid eyes on.

Um…yeah. No matter what you think about this kind of architecture, this view doesn’t suck.
