Save Time Brushing With the EZ Teethbrush

Going to the dentist tops the list of things we like to avoid. Save for your regular checkups and cleanings, who wants extra appointments at the dentist? The best way to avoid a hit to your wallet and your dental hygeine is to brush regularly and brush well. It’s something that takes so little time of your day and is so easy, yet studies show that most people don’t brush for the full two minutes and 30% of millenials only brush once a day. What’s a lazy or forgetful person to do? Invest in the EZ Teethbrush and save time brushing and money at the dentist! The sonic-powered teethbrush is the first of its kind, brushing all of your teeth simultaenously.

This innovative tool marries modern tech and sleek design. The EZ Teethbrush is the brainchild of Craig Mock, who thought there had to be an easier way to brush your teeth, so he began developing the EZ. Mock worked in the Medical Sector for several years working with durable medical equipment and pharmaceuticals. He also worked for the Department of Defense as well as DCMA’s NASA Product Operations as an Industrial Specialist. His experience learning about rocket motors and manufacturing helped him blend science and productibility for the EZ. Research and development as well as testing prototypes took over 10 years.

Dr. Rami Shorti is the lead principal design engineer for the EZ. He joined the team in 2018 and his extensive medical background, notably in the Medical 3D printing industry, makes him a strong asset in the development. He also provided clinical guidance, which helped the EZ achieve Dentist Approved status in July 2018.

Easier, faster, and more efficient

The EZ Teethbrush boasts a reduction of 75% of the time it takes to brush, cutting each sesh down to 30 seconds if you brush for two minutes, twice a day. The EZ also makes sure you don’t miss a spot. Due to its mouthguard or retainer-like design, all your teeth are covered. There are various mouthpiece sizes, including child friendly versions. It’s recommended to consult your dentist on sizing, and if you’re unsure or in between, sizing down is recommended than up to prevent gag reflexes. It’s recommended that mouthpieces are replaced every 3-6 months, about the same as traditional heads.

The double-sided mouthpiece features soft bacteria-resistant silicone bristles. They use a sonic frequency between 28,000 to 31,000 vibrations per minute, removing bio-film on the teeth and gums. The ultra soft bristles safely and effectively clean all teeth and gums, as well as cut down on human error experience with traditional brushing and over brushing. Over brushing can cause abfraction lesions, or receding gums. The EZ can help prevent that! It’s designed for anyone and everyone of all ages, from those who can’t find time to brush for two minutes, twice a day, to people with special needs or limited dexterity.

A new way to brush

At first glance, you’re probably wondering how the hell do you brush with the EZ. It’ll take some getting used to, but once you’re familiar, the 30 seconds it takes to brush will be like a walk in the park. Rinse the teethbrush with water, add your toothpaste, place in your mouth, and turn on. While holding the waterproof handle, use the modified bass technique, moving in small circular motions and a little back and forth to get the back and front sides of the teeth. There are 3 modes of brushing: clean, soft, and white. The teethbrush features an auto-shutoff timer, so you don’t need to worry about the battery life, which should last up to 60 days. Charge your EZ easily with the included wireless charger. The travel kit that comes with the teethbrush makes it easy to travel with as well.

The EZ had a $5,000 goal on Kickstarter and surpassed it significantly with over $50K from backers. Early bird pledges started at $79. Teethbrushes are expected to deliver by March 2019 for all pledges. Available in charcoal with charcoal metallic trim and white with rose gold trim, the EZ is as stylish as it’s innovative.
