For the past year, there have been rumors that the Ford Bronco SUV and Ranger mid-sized pickup truck are returning. There was a time when the Ford Bronco was the most beloved SUV on the market, and the most iconic. The oddly shaped SUV blew up in pop culture after O.J. Simpson’s infamous high-speed police chase in his white Ford Bronco.

Gear heads and automobile enthusiasts were devastated when Ford decided to remove the Bronco and Ranger pickup trucks from production. These are automobiles which had developed an almost cult-like following. So when news broke about a year ago that Ford would be bringing back the Ranger and Bronco the auto industry began to buzz.

Now, after a long and uncertain wait, Ford has announced official release dates for the Ford Bronco and Ranger. Announced this week at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, Ford broke the news that the Ranger pickup truck will be returning in 2019. The Bronco will make its triumphant return in 2020, just three years from now.

We still don’t have a clear idea of what the new Ford Bronco and Ranger will look like. Thus far we’ve seen a handful of concepts and renderings, but the Bronco concept that’s been circulating is absolutely gorgeous.
