Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has put his 10-bedroom mansion on the market. Jay and his wife Kristin Cavallari have listed their Lake Forest mansion for $4.75 million. This is a sharp uptick from the $4.25 million the couple paid for this home just three short years ago. This was the third Chicago-area residence Jay Cutler has lived in during his time with the Chicago Bears but all good things must come to an end. And Jay Cutler’s mansion is sure to fetch a fortune on the open market.
Now that Jay Cutler will no longer be suiting up on Sundays for the Chicago Bears he and his wife will be moving. Where the couple will move next is up in the air but I’d wager they head west to California. Jay Cutler played 8 seasons for the Chicago Bears and owning a mansion made sense at the time. Now that Jay Cutler’s been released by the Bears there’s no sense in holding onto the massive Chicago-area mansion.
The 11,000 square foot home features 10 bedroom and 7 bathrooms. It is located in the ultra luxe Chicago suburb of Lake Forest, Illinois. If you’ve neve been fortunate enough to visit Lake Forest I can tell you it is incredible. Driving through the wealthy enclaves of Lake Forest reminds me of The Hamptons. It’s old money at its finest. There are no new and gaudy homes and real estate is at a premium. All of the estates in Lake Forest are stunning, and Jake Cutler’s mansion is no exception.
Does Jay Cutler need a basketball court inside of his mansion? Absolutely not. That’s probably one of the reasons he and his wife Kristin Cavallari (of MTV’s The Hills) are selling the mansion. Jay Cutler’s estate features a wine cellar, movie theater, and a whole lot more. Here are some photographs of Jake Cutler’s mansion which can be seen on the Trulia listing (link below):
