J.Crew and New Balance have teamed up to release a new line of limited edition 998 sneakers. The shoes will come in two styles. Each pair of 998s is inspired by the United State National Park System.
This isn’t just a stylistic partnership between J.Crew and New Balance. A donation of $10 will be made to U.S. National Parks for every pair of these shoes that gets sold. Right now, you can preview the shoes on J.Crew’s website. You’ll be able to buy them online and in J.Crew stores beginning on January 26th.
These shoes are made in the USA and are among the most stylish New Balance collaboration sneakers I’ve seen in years. My all-time favorite limited-edition New Balance sneakers come from Ball and Buck. They are another brand which exclusively releases ‘Made in the USA’ products. A year or two ago they released a plaid ‘Sporting Gentleman‘ pair of 585s. I highly suggest checking those sneakers out as well if you are feeling the look of these National Park 998s.
A blue-on-blue model is inspired by Crater Lake National Park. The brown suede pair of 998s is inspired by Death Valley National Park. New Balance is highly selective about the brands they partner with. J.Crew is obviously a natural fit for a partnership and they’ve created a truly great sneaker here. Buy: $180
