The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2017 Recon Edition is a departure from the company’s previous models. With the Recon Edition, Jeep wanted to make a Wrangler for the driver who takes adventure very seriously. According to Mike Manley, head of the Jeep brand, the “Rubicon Recon is the perfect Wrangler for our most loyal, diehard off-road enthusiasts who love to tackle the most demanding trails.”
The new Rubicon accomplishes it’s newfound toughness in a few ways. It features enhanced off-road rock rails so it can easily accommodate up to 35″ tires. It also boasts a stronger front axle and a heavier-duty plate over the differential. As for the interior, it isn’t too shabby either. The 2017 Rubicon has black leather heated seats, an all-black dash featuring leather accents and a eight-speaker audio system with satellite radio and navigation capabilities. It also has red seatbelts and stitching, which is something that was previously not available on a Wrangler before.
The 2017 Recon Edition will be priced at $39,145 for the two-door model and $42,945 for four-door Wrangler Unlimited. It will be available in seven colors: Black, Billet Silver, Gobi, Rhino, Granite Crystal, Bright White and Firecracker Red.
