I thought this was a viral prank when I first saw it, but it is not. The Kitty Hawk Flying Car, a creation backed by Google’s Larry Page, is a real, all-electric, personal aircraft. Amazingly, the Kitty Hawk Flyer doesn’t require a pilot’s license either. That’s the essence of the Kitty Hawk Flyer. Give everyone the ability to fly without time intensive training courses.

If you want to get a Kitty Hawk Flying Car of your own you will need to become a member of their club which is $100 for 3-year membership. Here is what the company is saying.

The Kitty Hawk Flyer is a new, all-electric aircraft. It is safe, tested and legal to operate in the United States in uncongested areas under the Ultralight category of FAA regulations. We’ve designed our first version specifically to fly over water. You don’t need a pilot’s license and you’ll learn to fly it in minutes. We publicly revealed the working prototype in April 2017. The official Flyer will be available by the end of the year.
