First introduced last year, the Monsieur de Chanel is Chanel’s first men’s watch produced with an in-house movement. It was so well received by industry experts that Chanel has brought the Monsieur de Chanel back for a second year. This time around it’s an extremely limited edition model made of platinum and black enamel.
There were 300 pieces produced for the first edition of the Monsieur de Chanel but this time around only 100 watches will be made. That sort of exclusivity comes with a hefty price tag. Chanel will be selling this exquisite watch for a cool $63,000.
The black dial is made of grand feu enamel and shows Chanel’s signature 240-degree retrograde minute display. This timepiece is powered by Chanel’s in-house Caliber 1 movement. By far the most eye-catching aspect of this timepiece is the 40mm platinum casing with a sapphire caseback, an upgrade from last year’s gold, white gold, and beige gold models.
