Little Book Whiskey is the first-ever release from Freddie Noe, grandson of Beam Master Distiller Fred Noe. This exquisitely blended whiskey is set to be released by Beam Suntory in October. It will initially ship in limited quantities, and a 750mL bottle will retail for around $79.99.
So what’s the hype? Freddie Noe is an 8th generation member of the Beam Family, as in the Jim Beam Family. With a legacy like that, you’d expect Freddie Noe’s first release to be nothing short of spectacular.
Little Book Whiskey is a blended combination four other whiskeys. Those whiskeys include a 4-year-old Kentucky Straight bourbon and a 13-year-old corn whiskey. Also included are a 6-year-old 100% malt whiskey and a 6-year-old high-rye whiskey. Blended together, these spirits have fused to create one of the finest whiskey blends in years.
Little Book carries tasting notes of caramel and strong oak. You can also pick up hints of grained corn and toasted nuts. This is a very approachable and drinkable whiskey, perfect for people who don’t want to burn the barn down.
Beam Master Distiller Fred Noe believes his grandson Freddie Noe has inherited an exquisite nose and palate. Those two traits will take Freddie a long way in the whiskey business. Little Book Whiskey is his first release but there are certain to be more to come.
