The M/Y Adastra is truly breathtaking. One look at this behemoth of a boat and you know that it’s serious business. It’s one of the most luxurious adventure yachts the world has ever seen. To call it the Rolls Royce of the sea would be an insult. With performance that’s able to match the incredible beauty of the watercraft, the Adastra is the closest thing to perfection I’ve ever seen glide across the surface of the water.
Built to Perfection
This trimaran was designed by John Shuttleworth, an expert of watercraft design. The whole design came together through the manufacturing powers of McConaghy Boats in Zhuhai, China. This yacht was meant to be a serious traveler, as well as an eye-catcher- which I think it nailed. The interior is just as nice to look at as the exterior design. With bright summery colors sprinkled around and plenty of room for lounging as you take in the view, this yacht is somewhere you could very comfortably spend days, weeks, even months aboard.
This whole ship is composed of carbon closed-cell foam laminate and measures up at 140 feet long, 53 feet tall, and 6 feet at the beam. It tips the scales at a massive 41 tons (nett tonnage), or 139 tons (gross tonnage). To power something as huge as this craft you’d need a whole lot of power- which this yacht conveniently has. It has one large main engine, as well as auxiliary engines and 3 subsequent generators.
These various power sources work in harmony to produce around 1,200 smooth horsepower. To keep this power fueled at all times its got a fuel capacity of 25,000 liters, giving it a range of 9,000 nautical miles.
This work of automotive art and engineering mastery is one of a kind. Its got more than enough bite to back up its impressive bark. The M/Y Adastra is nothing short of incredible, and it’s pushing the boundaries of what a Yacht can be. Learn More
