Mercedes-Benz has been having some fun with it’s trucks and SUVs over the last few years and the Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain 4×4² is no exception. This project was launched by Jurgen Eberle, an engineer in vehicle development for the E-Class, and he wanted to take the E-Class All-Terrain and pump it full of steroids. The result is the SUV you see before you.
To be frank, this is unlike any wagon out there. The addition of portal axles gives the All-Terrain a wider track and also ground clearance to 15 inches. The All-Terrain also features Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive system.
Although this looks like something that might be a concept vehicle that never enters mass production, according to Auto Express, Mercedes is considering releasing this as limited-edition model. And it could go into production very soon, with a release sometime in early 2018.
