Michael Phelps Lists Gold Medal Arizona Home For $4.125M

The king of gold medals has put up a gold medal of an estate in the beautiful area of Scottsdale, Arizona. He purchased the home back in 2015 for just $2.5M when he took a job as assistant swim coach at Arizona State University. Can you imagine having Michael Phelps as your swim coach? Anyway, his beautiful home is now up for sale, and we wish we had $4M lying around to buy it.

Really embracing the architectural style of the area, the Santa Barbara style home is complete with red-tile roofing and light colors inside and out. Out back, a gorgeous walled-in backyard is complete with, you guessed it, a pool. Come on, you can’t expect the guy with 23 Olympic gold medals (28 medals total) to not have an awesome pool.

Inside, the home comes from the imagination of Henry Mohrschladt, an award-winning builder for sailboats and yachts. It features lots of European stone and imported French Oak hardwood floors. High-coffered, beam ceilings and marble and granite throughout the home make each room a stunner. A custom game/media room has cargo shiplap walls. If you knew exactly what that meant, your wife probably watches a lot of Fixer Upper. Don’t lie though, you love it too.

The home is complete with a 350-bottle wine storage (yes he’s retired now), a humidor, a sports room, a breakfast room, and a chef’s kitchen. Although we find it hard to believe that Michael will find a better place considering how beautiful this one is, just take 28 gold medals as proof that he defies expectations for a living.
