Mike Tyson was once the greatest Heavyweight boxer the world had ever seen. Iron Mike owned the world in the 1980’s and 90’s, and he had the sports car to match his prowess in the boxing ring.
The 1995 Ferrari F50 is one of the most iconic supercars ever built. The F50 is a true Formula 1 racing car that’s able to be driven on the open road. Naturally, Mike Tyson owned one of these sexy cars in Ferrari’s iconic cherry red. It’s unclear if Mike is strapped for cash or if he’s ready to make an upgrade, but he’s putting his Ferrari up for auction.
Mike’s 1995 Ferrari F50 will hit the auction block on Saturday, March 11th. The auction will take place on Florida’s Amelia Island, and this car is expected to fetch somewhere between $2.2 and $2.4 million.
There are only 5,694 miles on the engine, making this 1995 Ferrari F50 practically brand new. Whoever has $2.2 million laying around will be able to purchase this vehicle next month. Anyone familiar with the typical Ferrari purchasing process knows how difficult it is to buy a new Ferrari from the manufacturer. One of the workarounds to getting on the list for future releases is to first purchase a vintage Ferrari.
This isn’t your average 1995 Ferrari F50, if there even is such a thing. Purchasing Mike Tyson’s Ferrari is like buying both a piece of art and history at the same time.
