Behold! The most expensive house in America. The $250,000,000 mansion is a real estate masterpiece that was recently featured in the premiere episode of CNBC’s Secret Lives of the Super Rich.

It’s probably not uncommon to read the price of this Bel Air, CA mansion and do a double take. I know I did. And then I thought, “What in the hell does this house have in it to be worth $250,000,000? WHAT, I ASK YOU?”

Well, friends, it has a lot. Does that make the price tag any less outrageous? No, no it does not.

So what’s inside? For one, there is a $2 million staircase in the house. Wrap your head around that. A staircase. In addition to that, the inside of the house also features 3 kitchens, 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, 38,000 square feet, a massive 40 seat movie theater, a private elevator to reach all four floors, a multi-lane bowling alley, two wine cellars, a glass pool table worth $12,000 and, for some reason, a wall lined with candy dispensers. I kid you not.

Want to discuss the outside now? OK! Let’s start with the 75-foot-long infinity pool that has a swim-up bar (does a bartender come with the house too?) and a huge TV screen that comes out of the ground next to the pool.

When you’re done lounging at the pool, you can go up to your personal helicopter pad and head to town for a bite to eat. Not a fan of helicopter travel? No problem! Because the house also has a 12-car garage/lounge and it comes filled with $30 million worth of sick cars. Man, being super rich sure sounds like it doesn’t suck.

Oh, and to answer the question about the bartender coming with the house… The developer, Bruce Makowsky (of BAM Luxury Developments) has offered to pay a two-year salary for seven full-time, live-in staff—including a chef, chauffeur, and masseuse— to serve whoever purchases this modern-day castle. Nice touch, Bruce.
