Naked Grouse Is Whisky at Its Most Uncomplicated

Convention isn’t for everyone and if you’re far from basic, your liquor should be too. Naked Grouse is a blended malt scotch whisky made with some of the best of the best single malts. Unlike regular blended malts that get its flavor from bourbon casks, Naked Grouse matures in sun dried sherry oak casks. Doing so adds another layer of rich and fruity flavor, enriching the taste of Scotland’s favorite whisky. Naked Grouse debuted in 2011 and was billed as a smoother, sweeter addition to The Famous Grouse family. The Famous Grouse portfolio includes Mellow Gold, Smoky Black, Black Grouse Alpha, as well as 16- and 40-year-old blends.

Naked Grouse relaunched as a standalone brand made from a selection of malt whiskies without any grain, including Glenturret, Highland Park and Macallan. They are matured in first-fill and refill American and European oak casks. They are then finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry oak casks for six more months. With buttered granary toast and malt on the nose, toffee pudding and raspberry jam in the palate, and a toasted oak and a soft spice finish, the new Naked Grouse packs a more robust flavor than its blended predecessor. The blended malt is packaged in a simple glass bottle embossed with a grouse. It’s an understated design for a rich and delicious flavor. Buy Here
