The in-house technology for building Nerf guns is light years ahead of where it once was. Back in the 80’s and 90’s we were happy to fire off six foam darts at a time. These days, the bar has been set so high for Nerf that after mark Nerf Gun mods are practically akin to actual guns.
This mod from YouTuber Peter Sripol enables them to fire projectiles at 150 PSI. At the end of the day, all the remains the same about this Nerf gun after this modification is the shell. However, they’re still using a Nerf gun that’s been modified to shoot fireworks, screwdrivers, nails, and other projectiles:
I envy these YouTube scientists. They get to sit around and tinker with awesome toys, and they make $$$ in the process. I cannot fathom the world where someone would pay me to make a deadly Nerf toy that shoots fire, but that’s the world we’re living in right now.
