Fall’s here, so it’s time for some fresh kicks! The Nike LeBron 16 will let you channel your inner beast on the court and in the streets. The Fresh Bred colorway features a primarily black base with University Red detailing woven into its mesh upper and Air Unit. These kicks definitely bring you to beastmode with James’ lion logos on each heel. The lions’ sinister red eyes are inspired by King James’ signature staredown when he’s on the prowl and ready to attack the court. Nike designer Jason Petrie worked closely with James once again to create the LeBron 16.
Petrie and the Nike basketball footwear team know that each iteration of the LeBron line needs something fresh. For the new 16, that all comes down to Battleknit 2.0. The 16 will be the first to the line to include this updated version of the scalloped knit featured on the 15. The use of Battleknit 2.0 will keep your feet locked down, but stay lightweight at the same time. Another change is to the shoe’s silhouette, which is lower than many previous LeBron models. It’s not quite a low-top, but it’s a shorter ankle height. James said he wanted the shoe to be faster and more dynamic. James has the longest-running signature sneaker line of any active NBA player. The LeBron 16 will be his first signature as a Los Angeles Laker. Buy Here
