Welcome Fall with the Rich Flavors of Old Forester’s 2017 Birthday Bourbon

When it’s time to break out the good stuff, treat yourself to Old Forester’s Birthday Bourbon. Birthday Bourbon is a rare treat in any liquor cabinet due to its small batch and limited release. It has been released every year on September 2 since 2002 to celebrate the birthday of founder George Garvin Brown. One batch of each Birthday Bourbon is distilled in a single day. The batch is aged in different warehouses and floors for 12 years. The flavors of each year’s batch vary greatly, from the heavy oak notes of the 2011 edition to the rich and sweet caramel toffee flavors of 2013’s.

Barreled on May 27, 2005, the 2017 Birthday Bourbon is packed with rich flavors, spice and sweetness. Your nose will be greeted by strong hits of cocoa powder and vanilla, as well as cinnamon wood spice, charred oak and a dash of crisp citrus. Rich dark chocolate, vanilla cream and the nutty flavors of macadamia nuts and almond butter treat your taste buds. You’ll have a long and warm finish with a lingering mulled fruit taste, perfect as fall approaches. The flavors aren’t the only distinctive and distinguished parts of this bourbon. The bottle, designed like an old-school pot still, adds to the sophistication of the bourbon. The Birthday Bourbon was released at $80, but the chances of snagging this limited release without a heavy markup or at all is as rare as the bourbon itself. Buy Here
