Panasonic Introduces Its First Box-Style Lumix Mirrorless Camera

Panasonic’s first ever box-style camera, the Lumix BGH1, is finally here! It’s based on the Micro Four Thirds System, offering increased flexibility of use. Panasonic knows today’s increased demand for streaming and traditional broadcasting. With that in mind, the Lumix BGH1 combines the tech you love from professional cinema cameras, camcorders, and the Lumix GH series.

The camera supports anamorphic lenses (4:3) and there’s also an extensive lens lineup for all your shooting needs. Tally lamps on the front and rear and a network connection lamp give you the best lighting when you need it. The camera also has a 3.5 audio jack that’s compatible with the XLR microphone DMW-XLR1.

A generic 2.5mm remote control unit is included. The remote control uses LUMIX Tether for Multicam and LUMIX Sync software. The camera features connectivity via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 4.2 (BLE). You can also have tethered photo shooting with the LUMIX Tether for Multicam software.  This lets you have control over a max of 12 LUMIX BGH1 cameras.

Professional-level quality for all your filming needs

The LUMIX BGH1 is an easy-to-use expandable camera system that’s versatile in any environment. You can easily film with multiple cameras, a drone, IP remote control, and a live stream. You’ll have professional-level video quality thanks to the camera’s high sensitivity and wide dynamic range.

The camera sports 10.2-megapixel Live MOS Sensor with Dual Native ISO technology and a Venus Engine. The Dual Native ISO tech minimizes noise generation by utilizing two circuits to create two separate native ISO settings.

Film a lot? No worries with this camera thanks to the double SD Card slot, which is perfect for backup recording or relay recording.

Lightweight and portable, the LUMIX BGH1 is perfect for static or on-the-go use. The aluminum and magnesium alloy body makes the camera durable and lightweight.
