Patagonia GXV: The Unimog Built for the Apocalypse

Some things are just effortlessly cool Regardless of how useful they may be to you, they just have ‘want’ written all over them. The Patagonia GXV is exactly that way. Why do I need a giant overlanding, armored, luxrury, super Unimog? Well, I couldn’t tell you, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s as cool as Hell.

What Doesn’t The GXV Have?

The Patagonia GXV is built and equipped to take on literally any situation, any road, or any journey. The front and rear are armed with heavy duty aluminum off-road bumpers, as well as winches. This truck (if you can even call it that) looks like it could drive straight through a mountain. And if for some reason it got stuck, you could just tow yourself out with the multiple winches. It also has a roof rack for extra storage, and extra gas tanks to keep your additional cars or motorcycles fueled up. It’s got solar panels, a massive water supply, and massive off-road tires. It truly is the ultimate apocalyptic survival vehicle.

Though this truck is rough and tough on the outside, it’s quite comfortable too. Inside it has a bedroom area with a full queen sized bed and plenty of clothing storage. It also has a bathroom with a toilet, shower, and bath; and a kitchen with all the appliances you could imagine. Keep searching and you’ll find a dining area, extra bunk beds, and even a washer/dryer combo. This is basically a rolling apartment with armor. All this with electrical systems, climate control, and heated water, what more could you ask for?

I’m guessing we won’t find our selves in an apocalypse any time too soon (fingers crossed), but if you do this Patagonia GXV would be the ultimate survival vehicle. To be honest, it’d be pretty awesome even without the whole apocalypse part. It’s equipped to take on the toughest of terrains while you stay inside in comfort and peace, just as you should be.
