The Ringbrothers 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Is a Stunning Revival of a Classic

The Ford Mustang is one of the most iconic cars in automobile history. The launch of the Mustang in 1964 led to the creation and rise of the pony car. The Mustang made way for other popular pony car models like the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger. You can spot a pony car a mile away thanks to its characteristically long hood and short deck. They are compact, stylized coupes or convertibles with sport and performance in mind. The first-generation Mustang was manufactured from 1964 until 1973. When it was introduced, the Mustang was just produced as a hardtop and convertible. The fastback model came into the market in 1964. This 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback built by Ringbrothers, an auto body shop based in Wisconsin, is called the Copperback.

New interior and exterior with the same classic look

Aptly named, the Copperback is finished in Copper Burnt Orange Metallic with unique details like carbon fiber panels, ground effects, and billet accents. The hood is a dark gray along with the air dam, side skirts, and rear spoiler. New tinted glass is installed and the trim around the windshield, rear glass, and side vents are blacked out. The machined billet aluminum accents can be seen in the hood, cowl vents, sail panel vent inserts, and more. The interior features custom brown and black leather detailing throughout, including the seats, doors, and steering wheel.

The chassis has Ridetech adjustable coilovers, Baer four-wheel disc brakes, and a Currie Ford 9” limited-slip rear end. In 2007 at the start of the project, the car was disassembled and went through a media blasting. The body has many customizations, such as shaved drip rails and door handles as well as a raised dorsal line along the length of the car. Gemini Technology Systems provided the custom carbon fiber hood and trunk panels as well as molds for the lower valence. The lower side scoops now have a deeper profile and also shorter bumpers. They switched the concave tail light panel to a flat panel overlaid with carbon fiber. Openings were also added for the exhaust exits. The car sits on three-piece 19” iForged wheels with black powdercoated centers and Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

The Copperback is powered by a fuel-injected Roush Performance 427ci V8 along with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. The car comes with an information binder, a custom car cover, and a clean California title with an Arizona VIN. Buy Here
