To commemorate Roger Federer’s 20th Grand Slam win Wilson has released twenty commemorative tennis rackets. These rackets are numbered 1-20 and each will sell for $20,000. They are Platinum Editions of Roger Federer’s iconic Pro Staff RF97 Autograph tennis rackets.
Roger just won the 2018 Australia Open. In doing so, he has further cemented his title as the greatest male tennis player in history. This was Federer’s 6th Australian Open win. Combined with his 2009 French Open, 8 Wimbledon wins, and 5 U.S. Open wins this was Roger’s 20th Grand Slam title.
Wilson has been Roger Federer’s equipment sponsor for most of his career. The racket that Roger plays is the iconic Wilson Prostaff RF97 Autograph. It’s a 97 square inch racket which weighs 366 grams. Roger’s played with Wilson tennis rackets for his entire career dating back to the 998 Wimbledon Junior Championships Federer.
After winning his 20th Grand Slam, Wilson decided to honor Roger Federer with a Platinum Edition racket. Only 20 of these Pro Staff RF97 Autograph rackets were made. Each was signed by Roger Federer just moments after he won his 20th Grand Slam title.
