Steve McQueen was, is, and will always bee a style icon. He lived the rugged life most men only dream of. In fact, many men spend their lives in pursuit of Steve McQueen’s style.
A piece of that style history is up for auction, Steve’s 1972 Honda CB450 motorcycle. Bids are currently expected to fetch between $50,000 and $70,000 for this one-of-a-kind bike.
The ’72 Honda CB450 is in pristine shape for a motorcycle with 19,417 miles on the odometer. What will draw Steve McQueen fans in the most, however, is the vanity license plate. The plate sports ‘McQueen’ across the back and it was registered in 1973 to the state of California:
Steve McQueen’s motorcycle features an Army green metallic tank. The bike itself is powered by a double overhead cam engine which was extremely advanced technology for the ear in which it was built.
Whoever wins Steve’s bike at auction will inherit a unique piece of motor history. This historical motorcycle is bound to go to a great home, with minimum bids beginning at $50,000.
It’s been a few weeks since we least featured a motorcycle hear on The Daily Want. For that, I apologize. I’ll be more diligent about bringing you readers the best in motorcycle news each week going forward.
