The push for clean energy is all the rage these days. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that carmakers are jumping on the trend. There is certainly a market for electric vehicles with the likes of Tesla leading the way. However, within the last few years, luxury automobile makers are starting to catch up.
One of those is Porsche. The carmaker recently debuted its Taycan 4S, a sports car that runs on 100% electric power. With an impressive 250 mile range and a top speed of 155 miles per hour, Taycan 4S packs a punch of performance without burning fuel.
Porsche’s new electric sports car has been a long time coming. So, fans are understandably very excited about it. While some car snobs don’t think that sports cars should be electric, Mother Earth says otherwise. Taycan 4S improves on the shortcomings of its predecessors, the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo.
A fully loaded model comes with a battery that delivers up to 420 kW to keep the car running at its finest. The electric car is capable of producing an impressive 563 horsepower and accelerates to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds. For any car, that is exhilarating. For an electric car, it’s downright awe-inspiring.
Though the electric workings of the Taycan 4S steal the spotlight, it’s external features shouldn’t be overlooked. Not that you can overlook the sleek lines and smooth curves that this car boasts. Perhaps the most prominent feature is the sloping roof that leads down to an emphasized rear portion that resembles something from a sci-fi movie.
It looks every bit of its $103,000 price tag. Yet, that still makes it one of Porsche’s cheaper cars. Considering the stunning combo of looks, performance, and earth-friendliness, the new Taycan 4S will be turning heads for a long time. Learn More
